Fresh out of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN, Mike and Naomi set out on the road, evangelizing through "Judo and Karate for Christ," a ministry Mike started as a way of using his years of martial arts training for the Lord.
In 1973, their travels brought them to Dayton, TN, just 45 minutes north of where their ministry as a couple began. Having realized a burden for camp ministry, Mike and Naomi purchased the Skyline Camp located atop Dayton Mountain, and in 1974, Fort Bluff Camp hosted its very first summer program.

After serving as an Awana Missionary for 24 years I am so excited that God has called us to serve Him along side Mike and Naomi Crain in the great ministries here at Fort Bluff. My heart has always been to see adults and young people come to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. God has so richly blessed this ministry and literally thousands of young people have come to know our Savior and/or surrender for God’s will in ministry over the last several years right here at this camp! As the new Camp Director here at Fort Bluff it’s my prayer and my vision that we see thousands more young people and adults come to know, love and serve our Savior.
